| A two
ply roofing system, is more commonly known as a "torch
on roof system." It consists of a fiberglass reinforced
mat, or polyester mat sandwiched between two layers of
rubberized asphalt. These two ply roofing systems are very durable but must be professionally installed! An improperly installed torch on roof will likely fail within the first two years of use. Applicator quality is one of the only sure ways to eliminate costly replacement. The quality of different two ply SBS systems varies and unlike some items, cost is not always the best measure of performance.
